Paper and fabric scissors

Basting thread (any thread that you want to get rid of)
black or navy silk thread (YLI 100 weight) *
beige silk thread (YLI 100 weight) *
red silk thread (YLI 100 weight) *
Applique needles (size 11, Foxglove Cottage recommended) *

Each Kit Includes:
Dizzy Daisies Pattern
One 15” square of fabric for background
One 6” square of green fabric for leaves
One 8” square of red fabric for daisy petals
One stem 44” long prepared with Steam-a Seam tape
Leaf template
Daisy petal template
Two pieces of freezer paper each 6”x 6”
1 yard of black embroidery floss
A sample of YLI silk thread
One Jeana Kimball straw needle size 11
Additional Supplies to Finish the Quilt:
Collins bias press bars (set of 5) *
Steam-A-Seam 2® fusible tape (¼” x 40 yard package, not the “lite” package)
Freezer paper: at least 18”x 9”
Circle template with circles 2” and smaller (available at office supply stores)
4 skeins of black embroidery floss
2 fist-sized clumps of polyester fiberfill stuffing
Fray Check® (optional)
Yardage Amounts for Complete Quilt:
1/2 yard light green fabric for center stems
1/2 yard dark green fabric for center stems
1 yard dark green fabric for border stems
½ yard total of 3 to 15 fabrics for leaves (Note: For best results, choose fabrics of varying values.)
½ yard total of 4 to 16 fabrics for daisy petals
Scraps of 2 to 8 fabrics for daisy centers
2 ½ yards fabric for the center and diamond border background
2 ½ yards fabric for the border background
1 ¼ yards red fabric for diamond border
Guild Provides:
1 table for teacher’s use
3-5 irons and ironing stations
Electrical cords and extensions, multiple-outlet strip, adaptors, lighting (if necessary)
1 table for every 2 students
1 quilt hanger or other safe way to display a quilt
