Equipment and Notions:

  • T-shirt, Apron or smock to protect clothing from ink

Each Kit Includes:

  • Midnight Garden pattern

  • Dragonfly panel

  • Freezer paper to back dragonfly panel

  • Painter’s palette

  • 5 Stir sticks

  • 1 small paintbrush

  • 1 really small paintbrush

  • Iridescent medium

  • Aloe vera gel

  • Paper towel

  • Scratch sheet

  • In-class use of Tsukineko Inks

Outside of Class:

Additional Supplies to finish the Quilt:

  • ¼ yard each of 4 different green fabrics

  • Fat quarter of pink fabric (you need the width of a fat quarter)

  • Scraps of yellow and mustard fabrics

OR

  • ¾ yard of PFD fabric if you prefer to paint your background pieces

  • ¾” paintbrush (helpful if you plan to paint your background pieces)

Also needed:

  • 26” x 28” length of black fabric

  • 28” x 37” length of border fabric

  • 12” x 2 yds of your favorite fusible web (I like steam-a-seam)

  • Matching thread for each of your fabrics

  • Double Stick Fusible Web (12” x 2 yds) – I like Steam-a-Seam  

  • Freezer paper (18” x 60”)

  • Sewer’s Awl

  • Tape

  • Light box
