Loopy Tulips Supply List
Equipment and Notions:
- Kit Fee: $20 (Payable in Class. For virtual workshops, purchase the kit here.) 
- Basting thread (any thread that you want to get rid of) 
- Basting Needle (an embroidery needle works well) 
- Applique needles (size 11, Foxglove Cottage recommended) * 
- black or navy silk thread (YLI 100 weight) * 
- beige silk thread (YLI 100 weight) * 
- Paper and fabric scissors 
- Embroidery scissors (optional) 
- Pencil 
- Tweezers (optional)

Each Kit Includes:
- Loopy Tulips Pattern 
- One 12” square of fabric for background 
- One 6" square of green fabric for leaves 
- One 4" square of yellow fabric for tulips 
- One 2" square of pink fabric for tulip centers 
- 1 stem 13” long prepared with Steam-a Seam tape 
- Leaf Template 
- Tulip templates 
- Freezer paper 6”x 6” 
- A sample of YLI silk thread 
- One Jeana Kimball straw needle size 11 
Additional Supplies to Finish the Quilt:
- Collins bias press bars (set of 5) 
- Steam-A-Seam 2® fusible tape (¼” x 40 yard package, not the “lite” package)* 
- Freezer paper, at least 18”x 9" 
- Fray Check® (optional) 
Yardage Amounts for Complete Quilt:
- 1 yard each of 2 or more fabrics for stems 
- ½ yard total of 3 to 20 fabrics for tulips 
- Scraps of 2 or more fabrics for tulip centers 
- ½ yard total of 3 to 15 fabrics for leaves (Note: For best results, choose fabrics of varying values.) 
- 5 yards fabric for the center background 
- 3 yards fabric for the border background 
- 1 ½ yards fabric for the dogtooth border 
Guild Provides:
- 1 table for teacher’s use 
- 3-4 irons and ironing stations 
- Electrical cords and extensions, multiple-outlet strip, adaptors, lighting (if necessary) 
- 1 table for every 2 students 
- 1 quilt hanger or other safe way to display a quilt
